HillsCarPal is pleased to announce that our 21st volunteer driver has recently joined our Seniors Transportation community.
Every driver is a precious part of HillsCarPal, which is making sure that it easy for Shut-in Seniors to get out and about around Sydney. But 21 of them are simply stupendous!
Our volunteers literally go the extra mile to assist the Seniors they transport, including on weekends and public holidays. We, and our Clients, can’t speak highly enough of them. They are the glistening diamonds of our community who selflessly offer Rides to Shut-in Seniors whenever they can.
We have two other “firsts” that we want to share with you.
One is the appointment of our first ever Online Facilitator.
Online Facilitators take calls from Seniors who don’t have online access and make Ride Requests on Facebook on their behalf.
That way, even though a Shut-in Senior may not be able to go online, they are not excluded from being able to get out and about around Sydney with a HillsCarPal Ride.
Our other “first” is the expansion of our service to assist The Hills Vision Impaired community.
And with our Clients giving us feedback that regularly includes the words “perfect” and “excellent” we know the future is looking rosy.
