Client Support Volunteer
Help a Shut-in Senior get a Ride?
The form below is for use by volunteers wishing to become a Client Support Volunteer with CarPal Community Rideshare.
Client Support Volunteers assess and train our new clients to use our service so that they can overcome Shut-in Syndrome by getting out and about around Sydney. This involves:
- Meet the Client (and/or Sponsor) to assess eligibility
- Explain processes used by CarPal, including role of Facilitators/Sponsors
- Enrol clients, including ID Pic & Agreement
- Create an entry for the Client in CarPal’s Ride scheduling App
- Provide Facilitator contact info to Client
- Monitor Client 1st Ride Requests
Provided you are 18 years or older and live in Sydney, you can help Shut-in Seniors join and successfully use the CarPal Community Rideshare service.
After we receive your details we’ll send you an email with information about obtaining a Police Check and our induction and training program for the role. Some of the training is online.
This is followed by a few hours face-to-face in our Baulkham Hills office and then visiting new Clients accompanied by a CarPal Trainer.
The role involves visiting potential new Sydney Hills clients in their homes or retirement villages at a time to suit the volunteer.
