Help Volunteer Drivers offer a Ride to a Shut-in Senior?

The form below is for use by volunteers wishing to become Driver Support Coordinators with HillsCarPal.

Driver Support Coordinators assess, train & induct new driver volunteers to be able to offer Rides to Sydney Hills’ Shut-in Seniors.. This involves:

• Conduct new HillsCarPal volunteer driver ID checks
• Initiate & monitor Police Check processes for volunteers
• Forward Welcome Packs to new drivers
• Train (phone & online) new drivers in Ride Request processes;
• Updating databases on our servers from time to time; and
• Monitoring new driver first Ride offers and feedback

Provided you are 18 years or older and live in Sydney, you can help new volunteer drivers join and offer Rides in the CarPal Seniors Transportation service.

After we receive your details we’ll send you a Police Check form and arrange to meet you to do an ID check.

This is followed by a few hours training in our Baulkham Hills office and some further training online, as necessary.

The role involves meeting potential new volunteer drivers a mutually convenient time and location.
