Pre-Ride Coordinator Application

The form below is for use by volunteers wishing to become Pre-Ride Coordinators with HillsCarPal.

Pre-Ride Coordinators play an important role in our service by providing quality control on the online communications between clients, facilitators & drivers. The aim of the role is to ensure that no Shut-in Senior using our service or the drivers providing our Rides face confusion or uncertainty on Ride-day.

The role involves:

• Randomly check Ride Requests, their offers, Comments & “Likes” on Facebook Events and, participate in resulting fb conversations;
• Liaise with Facilitators about driver confirmation messages or other measures that will prevent “surprises” for driver and/or client on Ride-Day;
• Alert Convenor HillsCarPal concerning untimely responses to Pre-Ride input;
• Liaise with Drivers, including prompting for Ride Feedback;
• Forward relevant Driver and Client feedback to Facilitators; and
• Clearly communicate and agree the timing of any handover of Pre-Ride Coordination responsibilities.

Provided you are 18 years or older and live in Sydney, you can help Shut-in Seniors successfully use the CarPal Seniors Transportation program.

After we receive your details we’ll send you a Police Check form and arrange to meet you to do an ID check.

This is followed by a few hours training in our Baulkham Hills office and some further training online.
